Get Out In It! A Boulder Nature Hike

Boulder is famous for its 70 square miles of city-owned open space and mountain parks, with nearly 150 miles of hiking trails. Here at Boulder Walking Tours, we know Boulder’s trails well and have chosen a handful of nature hikes especially suited for sharing with visitors.  Get Out In It!

Our nature hike guides are professional naturalists with years of experience guiding hikes in Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks.

Small groups guaranteed, tour capacity 8 persons, reservations required.

We’ll explore:

  • The native flora and fauna of the foothills of the Rocky Mountain region;
  • The unique geological features encompassed within the city’s natural landscape;
  • Boulder’s trend-setting, progressive open space policies and programs that have paved the way for recreational use, species protection, and development buffers.

Our hikes are appropriate for those of moderate fitness — they range from 2 to 3 miles, with elevation gains ranging from 500 to 1000 ft (but remember we are starting at elevations of approximately 5700 feet!). You’ll love the hike ~ get out there!

You will receive logistical information, and a liability waiver, within the reservation confirmation email.

Full water bottles and strong sunscreen required.
